Our EAN-13 and UPC barcodes come with FREE barcode registration on International Barcodes Database and also on IBNREG (International Barcode Registry). This allows you to register your product and/or company details alongside the barcode number in an online database. Barcodes Database then auto-feeds this information to other online databases.
Barcode registration makes it easier for retailers and customers to find your company and product information. They can search online or use a scanning app. It also helps prevent theft or accidental misuse as you have extra proof the barcodes belong to you. Finally it helps those few reluctant retailers who still think GS1’s database has all the answers. You can point them to this independent database as proof that the barcodes are yours and are legitimate. This can save a lot of time with some retailers who like to check barcode ownership.
It is easy to copy a barcode. Anyone can duplicate a barcode on a different product. Registration helps protect you against illegal use of your barcode numbers. In addition it helps retailers and customers find details of your product and business.
How to register your barcode numbers:
Receive your barcodes in five minutes by email. You can then register your barcode numbers and product/company details on the International Barcodes Database https://barcodesdatabase.org/barcode-registration/ . Your company name and barcode numbers will be automatically registered already on the IBNREG.org database. Barcode registration on the International Barcodes Database is optional. However, it will increase the profile of your product on the internet.
After you register your barcode number and product details on the International Barcodes Database, then your product details will be displayed when customers search for your barcode number in online search engines (e.g. Google) or on some smart-phone apps (e.g. the Zebra app). Please note that some smart-phone barcode apps only search in online stores such as Amazon.com. They don’t search in the online barcode databases. This is limiting. The best smartphone barcode app’s (e.g. the Zebra app) search in Amazon and other online stores as well as the main online barcode/product databases.
Note: Barcode registration is free if you buy EAN-13 or UPC barcodes from our company. If you have EAN-13 or UPC barcode numbers already (which weren’t issued by our company), and you want to register those numbers, then please purchase barcode registration here.
