Wawets Story

In July 2019, the family sold everything in Co. Kerry and moved to Co. Limerick, where they bought a redundant dairy farm—a dream once thought impossible but now a reality.

Driven by determination, the family immediately began developing the farm. They built sheds, installed a new dairy, built up a herd of cows, and reseeded all the land. On April 3rd, 2020, they milked their cows for the first time, marking the beginning of a new chapter.

By May of that year, frustration with the lack of well-fitting agri wear on the market led to a breakthrough. After tripping over an oversized milking gown, the founder decided to deconstruct and reassemble it in the utility room, resulting in a significantly improved version. Over the next few months, they sketched designs, researched materials, and produced prototype after prototype.

In June 2021, the new milking gown was perfected. It provided greater confidence and efficiency on the farm. The farming community is driven by progress and a desire to help each other succeed. They tackle problems head-on, making lasting changes, just like the WaWets brand. WaWets will continue to introduce new agri-wear pieces, always aiming to inspire, progress, and succeed in everyday life.

The family dog, Missy, inspired the WAWETS logo. Missy, a sweet-natured Newfoundland dog, embodies the brand’s values. She is strong, protective, and resilient, with a double waterproof coat that shields her from Ireland’s wet climate.
